In the magical words of Osho , “Don’t choose the comfortable, the respectable, socially acceptable. Choose what rings a bell in your heart .” Do not imitate whats popular for acceptance, do whats authentic for the sake of your soul.
Be a voice not an echo because normal isn’t the standard, its a mere perception. A term used to define whats commonly seen or experienced. psychologically, normal is defined as conformance to an average. And yet, it has become the social standard. A comfort zone. Indeed, ignorance is bliss. But in early days we were taught to go with the flow. To do what everyone else does. To act like everyone else does. And to be like everyone else. Anyone who doesn’t confirm to these rules, are branded rebels. Misfits. Crazy.
“Never forget that only the dead fish swim with the stream”
In our opinion the quote ” Be a voice, not an echo ” by Albert Einstein means that you have to stay right behind what you are saying in front of the audience. Moreover don’t just mindlessly repeat what you’ve heard or blindly follow the others. Albert Einstein is a genius and his words mean that we should be the leaders, who have to be heard. Or just speak from your own knowledge and experience- don’t follow the crowd !
It is easy to gravitate towards the middle ground and reflect what others are saying. That certainly is a path of less resistance. But leaders – good leaders – don’t concern themselves with popularity as much as they concern themselves with authenticity in their message and in their vision. They embrace their own value to their respective audience, and they are not afraid to lead from that position.
Always, Be a voice not an echo.
It is always better to construct your message in your own voice, using your own curiosity to form your own word view, that is why we say “Be a voice not an echo”. You must be willing to challenge it from time to time, for the sake of a better vision. Just be an original cause an original is worth more than a copy. It shows people how to pride in what they say and be their own person. It shows that you can have a voice of your own and don’t have to repeat others.
We are molded into the society norms and somewhere along the way, we loose that fire within us. Because breaking free often means standing alone. It not only takes a great deal of courage, but the path ahead is unknown and unexplored. You can’t look around for affirmations or proof, because its different for every single soul that walks it.
Be your own voice, let others echo you…
