Its okay to outgrow people, relationships, friendships and situations that aren’t beneficial to your growth. People change, things change. There’s nothing negative about evolving. Its okay to progress gracefully into the next chapter of your life. The more you resist the change, the more problems you experience. You cant expect everyone to evolve with you. Sometimes the old connections expect you to remain the same, because its comfortable. If you can’t grow together you will grow apart.
Surround yourself with the people that are better than you .
When you are doing something to better yourself and evolving into something great, you are supposed to outgrow people around you, your circle is supposed to get smaller. ” If you want to be successful and great in life, you should surround yourself with people that are better than you. ” Just because you outgrow people doesn’t always mean that your’e automatically better than someone or on a higher level, it just means that your focus has changed in life and you know what to prioritize and know what to let go. Its a part of life.
“Its no use to going back to yesterday, because i was a different person then ” — Lewis Carroll .
Outgrowing people is kind of a sad thing, whether you fell out of friendships for no reason or if your old friends are regressing instead of processing in their lives and turning to the wrong things. However, as harsh as it may sound, one will be at the point in their life where they feel like they don’t need or have the time for pointless friendships because there is nothing left to expect from them as it will only lead to disappointment.
Letting go! Never identify yourself with something that has happened in the past. If you are conscious creator of your life, you know that each moment is up to how you view yourself. So instead of living your potential to past, how about you let go of it and live how you want to be today.
” We can’t make space for the new if we are always holding onto the old. “
Do you have friends who always stay the same? And do you also have friends who always grow and develop themselves? Both can be friends, but the former will seem like a stranger to you one day. Steven Pressfield put it best “Those who are still feeling from their own fears will now try to sabotage us. They will tell us that we’have changed and try to undermine our efforts and further change. “
When we get to that point in life, we start to appreciate more important things in life and realize how valuable our worth and time is. Don’t have to make pointless relationships and don’t have to savage them either just let things go. Never feel bad for outgrowing people, do your own thing and do whats best for you. Find what inspires you and make it a priority in your life …..
